Do you like the idea of bringing your central heating system into the 21st century? A lot of my customers do.
Well, now you can with the Wave control system from Worcester Bosch, which I’m already very impressed with. By “riding the wave”, you can access your programmable heating and hot water controls via the internet using a smart device such as your smartphone or tablet.
I’m going to explain exactly how the Wave system works below, and how much you can expect to save on your monthly heating bills.
Internet controlled
Like other similar programmable controls on the market, you can access your heating and hot water controls from just about anywhere via WiFi or 4G on your computer, smartphone or mobile device.
Weather compensating feature
The main difference with Wave is the integrated weather compensating feature, which you won’t find with other internet-enabled controls. By compensating for the weather outside your home, you can maximise your boiler’s efficiency.
Save money
With a Worcester Wave control system, I estimate you could save at least 12 per cent on your fuel bills – maybe even more.
Compatible boiler types
The Wave system works with a wide range of Worcester Bosch boilers, including regular and system boilers to give you control over your heating and hot water, as well as with combi boilers to keep your central heating in check.
The handy app
By using the specially designed Wave app on your smartphone or tablet, you can also track exactly how much energy you’re using on a monthly basis, helping you to make smarter choices and find out where you could be saving a bit of extra cash.
Data privacy
With the Wave, all your data is 100 percent secure and not shared with any third parties.
Cost to install
At the moment, I’d be able to help you install a Worcester Wave system over a standard programmable thermostat fitted to your choice of Worcester Bosch boiler, at a cost of £280 extra. There’s also no subscription fee for the Wave service.
Conclusion
Now you can have full control of your central heating and hot water, with everything you need quite literally at your fingertips. If you’re currently thinking about investing in a new boiler, it’s definitely something to consider, so you can save even more on your bills – the smart way.
