flow-rate

There’s been some big changes over at Worcester Bosch recently.

The company has said goodbye to its bestselling Greenstar Junior combi boilers, the 24i and 28i, and introduced the new and improved Worcester Bosch Greenstar i boilers.

The best part? You can now look forward to the same quality you’ve come to expect from Worcester Bosch, only with better flow rates than ever before.

Plus, the new models mean you’ll save money on your energy bills.

Higher efficiency

The new Greenstar 25i and Greenstar 30i combi boilers were introduced so that the company falls in-line with the new ERP directive (INSERT LINK TO ERP DIRECTIVE BLOG) which kicks into place on September 26th.

Because of this, the new models are much more energy efficient, and feature an energy saving bulb and lower emissions, as well as meeting various other new standards.

However, there’s another absolutely fantastic benefit to the new Greenstar i range…

Better flow rates

Lots of lovely hot water – it’s something most of us now take for granted, isn’t it?

The Greenstar Junior range featured a 24kw and a 28kw boiler; this referred to the output the boilers were able to supply to the hot water.

Now that the capacity has been increased to 25kw and 30kw, the new, great value Greenstar i boilers can now provide much better flow rates to your taps – up to 12.3 litres per minute, to be exact.

These make great starter boilers for up to a two-bedroom home, and with an eight-year guarantee to-boot, they’re certainly very popular with many of my Edinburgh customers.

Price increase

Now, it’s not ALL good news – you will have to pay a little bit more for the new Worcester Bosch Greenstar i boilers compared to the discontinued Juniors.

This is because most UK boiler manufacturers are upping their prices to bring their boilers in-line with the new ERP directive, and Worcester Bosch is no exception.

TIP: Make sure you buy from an accredited installer, to ensure you get the longest guarantee and the best value for your money.

Conclusion

The new Worcester Bosch Greenstar 25i and 30i boilers have recently replaced the discontinued Junior models, which means higher energy efficiency and better flow rates for you. This is mainly to fall in-line with the new ERP directive, due to kick into place on September 26th.

Unfortunately, so are the price increases from most UK boiler manufacturers, which is why you should always opt for an accredited installer to get the most out of your investment.

Which Greenstar i model would you choose?
